Frequently Asked Questions
What do our patients ask us?
Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently accepting new patients. To book an initial examination, please call us at +420 257 941 296 or fill in the contact form.
What does the initial examination include and how much does it cost?
The initial examination costs CZK 1,800 and takes approximately one hour. During the visit, we will discuss your wishes or concerns, examine your teeth in detail, take a panoramic OPG X-ray and prepare a treatment plan for the next steps.
The examination is pain-free. Your treatment plan will also include a clear price estimate for each recommended treatment, so you will always know exactly what you are paying for.
Do you have contracts with health insurance companies?
No. We do not work under contracts with health insurance companies because we do not want insurance limits to compromise the quality of the materials, technology and treatment methods we use.
At Smille Dental Clinic, our approach is simple: we choose the best solution available for your care. Working under insurance contracts would require compromises, and we do not want to make those compromises when it comes to your smile.
Will the treatment hurt?
No. We use local anaesthesia where needed to make treatment as comfortable and pain-free as possible. There is no need to be afraid of your visit.
Can I have treatment under general anaesthesia?
In some cases, more complex procedures can be performed under analgosedation, which is often gentler on the body than general anaesthesia. During analgosedation, you sleep calmly throughout the treatment and do not feel anything.
After the procedure, you will not remember the treatment and can leave shortly afterwards accompanied by another person. Unlike general anaesthesia, you do not need to spend several hours recovering at the clinic.
How often should I have a preventive dental check-up?
We recommend having a preventive dental check-up twice a year so that tooth decay or other oral health problems can be detected early.
Can I park nearby?
Yes. You can park conveniently at the Nový Smíchov shopping centre, just a short walk from the clinic.
Can teeth whitening damage enamel?
The Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed in-office teeth whitening treatment we use meets strict professional standards and is designed to be gentle on tooth enamel. When performed correctly, it does not damage the teeth.
How often should I have dental hygiene treatment?
We recommend professional dental hygiene treatment up to four times a year, depending on your individual needs. If that is too difficult for your schedule, you should visit at least every six months.
