Tooth Extraction
Modern tooth extraction is gentle, precise and pain-free. At Smille Dental Clinic, we recommend extraction only when a tooth can no longer be saved. If removal is necessary, we use anaesthesia and perform the procedure quickly, carefully and without pain.
Pain-Free Wisdom Tooth and Tooth Extraction
Tooth extraction may sound unpleasant, but there is no need to worry about pain. The procedure is performed under local or general anaesthesia, and we only recommend it when the tooth can no longer be saved.
Tooth extraction may be necessary when a tooth is damaged beyond repair. Common reasons include deep decay, a tooth fracture or advanced gum disease.
We also often perform wisdom tooth extractions. Wisdom teeth are sometimes poorly positioned in the bone, which can cause pressure on the surrounding teeth or lead to painful inflammation.
When Is Tooth Extraction Necessary?
- When the tooth can no longer be saved.
- If you have a fracture of the tooth or jaw.
- If you have advanced periodontal disease.
- If the tooth is damaged by deep decay.
- If your wisdom teeth are in poor condition or poorly positioned.
